ANGELO GILARDINO Canzoni Dimenticate (Forgotten Songs) It is a series of seven melodies, each of them composed for a different instrument in duo with guitar. The guitar part is the famous "Spanish Romance", actually a Russian song arranged for guitar by an unknown Spanish guitarist at about the half of XIX century and then made famous by Miguel Llobet, Vicente Gomez, Narciso Yepes and others. Upon this Romance, used as a simple accompaniement, Angelo Gilardino has created seven melodies of different characters, each of them devoted as a homage to a guitarist-composer of the epoque of the guitar arrangement of the Russian song. The cycle was requested to Angelo Gilardino by the Persian guitarist Reza Ganjavi, who has recorded it with distinguished performers of a Swiss orchestra. Published by Edizioni Musicali Bèrben, Ancona, Italy, to which the copyright belongs, and which kindly allows this publication on line, the cycle is offered in PDF format for free download and print at the URL: http://www.seicorde.it/Gilardino Each song should be printed on two pages (left, even, and right, uneven) with no need of turn.
