If you are in the Los Angeles area and in the market for a
fine instrument, contact the folks at Trilogy
Guitars. Ask to get on the mailing list - they host exceptional
concerts and workshops/masterclasses in a wonderful setting. Tell
them 'Dale sent me...' :)

1930's Hauser - looked and sounded great! (Photo by J.

Images below are from the 2004
GFA (Guitar Foundation of America) festival in Montreal, Canada
(October, 2004.) Unfortunately I did not take enough pictures to
show all of the wonderful luthiers and their work - my apologies in
advance and I hope to have pictures during the next event.

Several photos of the ensemble reading sessions
conducted by Jan-Olaf
Eriksson. In addition to commercial publications Joe provides a
number of free scores in PDF format on his web site; both solos and
ensemble music.

A few shots from the Luthiers section of the festival. One
of the challenges of this event is refraining from purchasing new guitars
(my budget is just too small...) Some of the guitar dealers and
luthiers were: Armin Kelly (Guitars
International), Fritz Mueller, Steve Conner, Scott Richter, Frederich
Holtier, Daniele Chiesa, Olivier Fanton d'Andon, and Oskar Graf. Above,
luthiers Greg Byers
(and one of his awesome guitars!) and Lane Schafer
during a quiet moment.

Lane, his wife and his great sounding guitars.

Luthier Mike Peters decided to add something a little different to
this guitar... Self portrait Mike? In addition to having the
distinctive head stock this guitar and Mike's traditional instruments have
a great sound.
