Classical Guitar History List(formerly 'cargh-l') Information This is an unmoderated list open to all who are interested in the history of the guitar. The main purpose of the list is to create a forum where information and knowledge can be exchanged freely among us, thereby increasing public awareness of the role the guitar had played in human society all over this planet during the years it acquired its current form and the basis for its repertoire. Note that this list is focused on issues/information directly relating to the history of guitar music, performance and 'period' instruments; many of the list members specialize in these areas or have a specific interest in them. The list tends to have light activity and the activity usually occurs in 'spurts'...
